Our Mission
The Stateline AVS was established in 2012 to further our study and enjoyment of growing and showing the African violet and other gesneriads. We welcome growers at all levels from beginner/novice to experienced show exhibitor. We embrace technology as a means to stay in touch between get-togethers and will periodically hold on-line video meetings or plant show-and-tell events. That said, we recognize that the best part of any violet society is getting together to learn, share leaves and plants, be visible in the community, plan events,
invite guest speakers, and laugh!

This is a photo of Bert H. sitting next to my father (not shown). Bert and his wife Charlotte were my parents good friends for many decades. More importantly, Bert was the one the ignited my love of african violets at a young age.
